Description

Concert Band Instruments with 6 months or more of playing experience. Concert Band is a performance-based course designed for students with experience playing a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument. The class focuses on the development of individual musicianship and ensemble performance skills. Students will rehearse and perform a diverse repertoire of band literature, including classical works, contemporary compositions, and popular arrangements. Through daily rehearsals, students will improve tone quality, technique, rhythm, intonation, and musical expression. Emphasis is placed on listening, teamwork, and following a conductor. Music theory, history, and sight-reading are also integrated to support overall musical growth. Students are expected to participate in scheduled performances or community events.
