Description

In choir, we start with fun warm-ups, practice solfege, practice singing in rounds, and try a little two-part harmony. Then we work on songs from different genres, memorizing and learning a couple of them well. We also learn music theory and rhythm with games like Whizz and Hot Potato. Students will learn to follow a director and have a lot of fun making music with friends. At the end of sessions 2 and 4, there will be a performance where family and friends are invited to come see us sing some of the songs we have learned. If your child wants to be in choir, but isn’t sure about performing in front of people, sessions 1 and 3 would be a good fit.
